Commerce in Colon Free Zone increased 24.7%

The Manager of the Colon Free Zone (ZLC), Manuel Grimaldo, reported on trade in January 2018, in which movements were recorded for 1,718,686,000 dollars, 24.75 more compared to the same month of the year 2017, which reached 1,378,417,000 dollars, according to the agency EFE.

According to the ZLC, in January 2018, imports in this free zone registered a total of $ 775,522,000, while exports were about $ 943,164,000.

Grimaldo said that the products that are imported from this free zone come mostly from Singapore, Mainland China, the United States and Mexico. He also highlighted that exports from this trade area are destined for Panama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and the United States, according to EFE.
