The Chinese FDI in the USA decreased by 30% in the year 2017.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) from China to the United States, fell by 30% in 2017, compared to a historical maximum that framed during 2016.

The report, 2018 Annual Business Survey Report on Chinese Enterprises in the United States, was released by the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA (CGCC).

The decline indicated the bilateral investment relationship is undergoing dramatic change, a Xinhua report said citing the survey.

As an important element in the contribution to the decline, as indicated in the CGCC report, the United States has not made things easier for Chinese investors, in order to satisfy its strong appetite to allocate funds to the United States.
