Direct direct investment (FDI) surpassed 1 billion US dollars in 2017 in Albania, and Prime Minister Edi Rama predicts higher growth by 2018.
Business-friendly reforms and Albania’s position as an important gateway have attracted approximately 13 percent of all foreign investment in the region.
“The government of Albania adopts a unified investment law that replaces the existing rules governing investment, including the Foreign Investment Law (1993) and the Strategic Investment Law (2015)” Genc Çeli, director of the FDI department in the Investment Investment Agency of Albania (AIDA) informs Emerging Europe.
